Sarah is an interdisciplinary artist interested in dance, movement, connection and material culture. Her work draws from formal dance training, ceramic and textile practices and often deals with themes such as memory, solastalgia and grief in a climate crisis.
Recently she is busy making collages with friends.
An artist and an educator, Sarah began her creative career in the fashion industry, holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Dance and Visual Arts Majors) and a Master of Teaching (Secondary). She is currently undertaking a research degree exploring how dance can be applied in the Australian healthcare landscape through social prescribing. She performs with Brisbane based dance company Flamenco House from time to time.
Sarah pays her respects to the Turrbul and Yuggera Peoples, the Traditional Owners of Country on which she lives, works and creates.
